Current Plans

Our energy has lately (as of Mar 22, 2005) been redirected into our dynamic-typing-inclusive group, SeaFunc, which we organize with a yahoo group and the Seattle Scheme meetup.com real estate. See:

Purpose

MLSIG-Seattle is for people interested in face-to-face discussion of the ML family of programming languages, including Standard ML, OCaml, and others. Meetings are held at ~3 week intervals, at places with notable drink or food. We negotiate the place and time, and announce it, via our mailing list.

Locations

The Stumbling Monk

1635 E. Olive Way
at corner of Olive and Belmont in Capitol Hill
kitty corner from the B&O Restaurant
(206)-860-0916

Beware that the advertizement as seen from the street is extremely low key. The sign in the window is hardly noticeable and the awning above the front door still says "TYPING" on it. Due to the popularity of the rotating specialty brews offered, the owner really has no need for additional salesmanship. I imagine if you ask the locals, they can point you at it. Especially local shopkeepers.

Things to know about The Monk:

Addis Cafe

Addis Cafe
1224 E. Jefferson
at the corner of Jefferson and 13th in the Central District
